3 April 1813 – Battle of Ludwigsburg

The Austrians start the battle nearer to Ludwigsburg than the Baden corps
They occupy the nearest half of the city with two infantry brigades
Their artillery deploy within short range of the other half
12 Baden corps deploy with their cavalry opposite the Austrian cavalry
They also send two infantry brigades into the city
Both artillery open fire, but the Austrians are nearer and inflict more casualties
The Austrian jager brigade engage the first Baden infantry brigade
They win the skirmish and the Baden infantry are shaken
With increased pressure the Baden infantry break and rout
They take the supporting brigade with them
